The FOODBIZ project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme by the European Commission, aims at promoting the acquisition of skills and competences related to employability in higher education students, through their active involvement in community learning activities.

Based on the concept of university-business cooperation, the project aims at implementing an action where students are active in the community they belong to during their study years, bringing into the university the knowledge of the community and vice-versa, and co-creating with other players, as peer, new knowledge and innovation.

The project is based on action-research and adopts participative techniques to facilitate exchange and co-creation. These techniques are applied during co-creation events or workshops to facilitate knowledge exchange among different actors and activate a shared creative process, ultimately leading to innovative solutions for existing problems.

In the framework of Foodbiz, three types of workshops have been organised: experiential learning and problem-based workshops, and entrepreneurial discovery process events.

The project outputs provided methods and tools to make communities working.

This is the case of a learning platform with learning resources, addressed at the same time to higher education students and agri-food companies.

Learning resources are divided into several units and grouped in modules, to pursue specific learning outcomes and have been developed considering the learning needs observed during the co-creation events.

The Foodbiz learning platform is available here

Further information about the project are available on the  official web site of the project, on Facebook and Instagram
