Ethical Guidelines for the Production, Distribution and Use of Humanoid Sex Robots

The A.R.T.I.F.I.C.I.A.L. - Ethical Guidelines for the Production, Distribution and Use of
Humanoid Sex Robots

S3x, Robots, Women* - Future and Taboo

by erfolgsfaktor FRAU e.V.

The project “Sex, Robots, Women* - Future and Taboo” deals with the topic of sex robots in their relation to female-identified people. Sex robots are artefacts which

  •   have a humanoid form, behaviour and movement,

  •   are mainly used for sexual purposes and

  •   have some degree of artificial intelligence (AI).

The existence of this type of robots has a significant impact on the position of female-identified people in society, whose sexuality has always been a taboo. It leads to

  • an increase in the representation of female-identified people as objects,

  • a strengethning in the perception of female-identified people as hypersexualised beings and

  • a continuation of discriminatory behaviour towards female-identified people.
