Document available also in: ES

B-Mentor project is an Erasmus+ project funded by the European Commission, with project number 2017-1-ES01-KA202-037989. The partnership is formed by organizations from Spain, Italy, Greece, Poland and Turkey. After two years of work, the project has ended in August 2019 and now all the materials are available for its open and free use.

B-Mentor project seeks to contribute to improve the level of skills and competences of both new entrepreneurs in the sector and experienced managers, taking advantage of the potential and knowledge of both collectives, and matching both c-VET and labour market requirements.

Through a Work Based Learning (WBL) approach,  innovative mentoring methodologies have been developed that aim to foster the improvement of competences of professionals from the tourism sector. Those methodologies are the bi-directional mentoring model and the mentoring circles, which are broadly explained  in all the materials developed.

The partnership has developed the B-mentor model which is a methodological framework for the application of the project models into the different c-VET schemes. The methodology addresses trainers, managers in centres and companies in continuous, formal and non-formal VET from the field of tourism. It is available in all partner languages in the following link:

Besides, we have also created the B-Mentor toolkit,  which is a set of resources and tools that aims to facilitate the learning process to become part of a mentoring relationship. The toolkit includes:

  • A training course that incorporates modules for future mentors to be trained on key concepts (such as WBL; types, benefit and roles in mentoring processes,…) to understand and improve key competencies to be mentors, and to become familiar with the tools they use in the practice of mentoring.
  • A set of practical tools that facilitates the organisation, monitoring, and assessment of the mentoring processes, adapted to the tourism business reality.
  • Nano-pills (in the format of videos and/or podcasts) to deepen on key ideas, tips, testimonies, practical examples… on a set of topics from tourism sector with the objective of providing agile and easy accessible learning resources to mentors and mentees.

The toolkit is available in the following link: and there is no need to register to access to the materials as you will have full access as a guest. You will only need to register in case you would like to obtain a certificate.
