Absentia is an idea, a laboratory, a philosophy, a way of thinking. We believe that absence and presence are tightly connected concepts, one cannot exist without the other.
We are interested in that absence that can be filled, that absence that drives us to search, discover, innovate.

Located in Stintino, in the north-west of Sardinia, we face daily challenges of isolation and depopulation. But it's precisely here that we have chosen to focus our efforts, to promote the regeneration of small local communities, strengthen the sense of belonging, and create educational and training opportunities in spaces of incredible untapped potential.

From a small town, we want to reach out to Europe, to the world. Because absence is an opportunity, 𝗮 𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 with ideas, projects, dreams. And this is where Absentia comes into play.

We explore those spaces left empty by an increasingly urban-centric society, to promote social and environmental sustainability, create new skills and promote innovation.
