We offer practical tools for staff members to develop or improve their Intercultural competences. This resource is a series of training modules that are designed for use in training workshops. They can be held separately or as a tailor-made training course with several (or all) modules combined.

ARTEM, an Erasmus Plus project coordinated by Pistes-Solidaires (France), aims to bring together local communities and newly arrived refugees and asylum seekers more effectively. The integration of migrants at the local level is based on a dynamic and reciprocal process: mutual understanding is not only a question of language but also of cultural codes to which attention must be paid if reception and integration are to be successful.

Job shadowing request

We are a small Adult Education School in Spain, working in four little villages not very far from Madrid. We intend to apply for a Mobility Agreement (KA1 project) within the next two years. This would be our first project and we are looking for a similar institution which might be interested in hosting us for a job shadowing experience.

On September 19th, representatives of the City Development Agency Banja Luka made a presentation about Banja Luka for the first group of the participants of the pilot project “Nurse Scout” that came from Mexico.

The objective of the Intellectual Output 3 of the EUMentorSTEM project was to assist the career progression of migrant women with a STEM background through mentoring and coaching which aims to develop their soft skills and competencies. Therefore, a training programme was organised by all partner countries to meet the specific needs of the target audience. The methodology for this project has been built on Mentoring Circles™, which was developed by Inova Consultancy and has been adapted to EUMentoring in order to suit the needs of migrant women with a background in STEM.

The EUMentorSTEM project recognises the lack of experienced career professionals trained to work with the specific target group of migrant women with a STEM background. Therefore, one of the main aims of the project is to provide a training programme for guidance professionals to support migrant women with a STEM background to develop their skills and competences to succeed in the labour market.

How do you teach numeracy to adult migrants with little formal schooling? All adult participants bring their own histories of mathematics form their cultures and contexts to the classroom. Bilingual assistants may contribute to building bridges between what the participants know from before and what they need to learn in another society.

The Promised Land Erasmus+ project has released the Intercultural Learning with Refugees and Migrants project ebook. The book explores the experience of refugees in Europe and Turkey, considers the role of cultural hubs such as museums and theatres in driving positive attitudes towards migration and provides policy recommendations. The book is free to view online and will be beneficial for anyone working with refugees and migrants.

ELT Conference 2020

The ELT Conference will take place at Prospero House in London on Friday 17 and Saturday 18 January 2020.  It is ideal for those working in the ELT sector. The conference will provide plenaries, elective sessions, expert speakers and a food and drinks reception. The first day will focus on academic management, the second on classroom practice.

 Words4link nasce come progetto il cui come scopo è la valorizzazione della produzione letteraria nota come “scrittura migrante” e la promozione degli autori/rici di origine immigrata.
