The aim of this study is to examine the benefits of the participation of elderlies in the lifelong learning courses and activities offered by local governments in the context of active aging. The study group was composed of 40 volunteer elderly aged 60 years and above participating in the courses and activities organized at the Elderly Clubs located in Kuşcağız, Planet and Pursaklar affiliated by Ankara Metropolitan Municipality. Qualitative research method was applied and in-depth interviews were conducted using semi-structured questionnaires in this study.

According to the Basic Law of National Education, there are a number of characteristics that are required to be found in the individuals who are trained. These are listed as citizenship education, personality training and vocational training. After 12 years of compulsory education, the optional education process begins. Individuals receive higher education or non-formal education according to their preferences. Adult education continues throughout life. Deviant behaviors, complaints, lawsuits and crime rates have been rising in Turkey especially in recent years.

Living happily is one of the important wishes of people. Happiness in psychology is addressed by the concept of subjective well-being. Subjective well-being means an individual’s judgment by evaluating his/her life and includes positive effect, negative effect and life satisfaction dimensions. In the studies, related variables with high-level subjective well-being are shown in a wide range, from coping with stress to being a better citizen. The purpose of this study is to test the effectiveness of the subjective well-being training program on adults.

This study aims to investigate the social media addiction levels of the adults in the Çay/ Afyon according to their gender, age, marital status, monthly income levels, social media tools they use most frequently, social media usage purposes and daily social media usage periods. The study group consisted of 200 adults aged 30-70 years old in the Çay/ Afyon. The Personal Information Form and the Social Media Addiction Scale - Adult Form were employed as data collection tools.

This study has been done to the purpose of the revealing the similarities and the diffecences by comparing Singapore, Finland and Japan that have successful results in PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment) exam with Turkey in terms of adult education.Qualitative research method was adopted in the research; comperative scanning method was used.When the adult education systems of the countries are analyzed, it is seen that the education policies of all of the mare determined from the top of one hand depending on certain ministries.

Turkey offers a range of compliance activities to facilitate compliance with irregular ways entering our country and applying for international protection status with Afghanistan citizens with the Syrian persons under the Temporary Protection. Most of all is Turkish language teaching. After determining the level of children and young people in formal education age, they are placed in the schools in their settlements and Turkish language education is provided for adults who are out of school age, especially in Public Education Centers.

This study aims to reveal the factors that is determinative in educational demands of adults. The participants of this study in which General Survey Model was used consists of 247 people being over the age of 25 and enrolling in the educational activities of the Public Training Center (PTC) in Ankara (city-centre) in 2018-2019 Academic Year. Descriptive statistics such as percentage, frequency, median value, standard deviation were used to analyze the data as well as T-test and ANOVA tests to analyze the relations in the data set.

DIGITAL STORYTELLING: TRAINING FOR FACILITATORS

Digital storytelling is a methodology that can be used as a pathway to discuss all kinds of societal topics with adult learners (even low skilled) and youngsters (+14) empowering them and enhancing their digital skills. A digital story is a personal narrative with still images and a voice over in which the storyteller gives their opinion or point of view making the audience think about this topic and working for social change. Digital stories are short videos about 3-5 minutes long.

It is no surprise that all the epidemics in the past have changed the course of history to a greater or lesser extent. Empires were established while others disappeared under the outbreaks of the plague, cholera and many other diseases. Wars were fought or ceased, borders between countries changed, the influence of religions grew stronger…Why should it be different this time? Changes are inevitable. The only question is whether we will be able to adapt to them in time.

In the beginning of 2020 together with ERASMUS + startegic co-operation project EFFECT partners we released a questionary to teachers who are dealing with adult learners. To make sure that the curriculum and toolkit for teachers (that are the main outcomes of this project) will fulfull its purpuse while working with lower skilled and educated adults we asked teachers how they are doing their job and what they miss the most. The questionary was organised in Estonia (by Loome OÜ, Kasvulava OÜ), in Latvia (by SIA Spring Valley) and in Slovakia (by TopCoach).

Magdalena is 25 years old and she is currently working as an external associate at the Centre for Lifelong Learning and Culture Bjelovar where she teaches Italian to adult students. Taking into account both my professions, when learning a foreign language, I often talk about the customs and way of life of the country whose language I teach. "We learn a language, whether native or foreign, primarily through contact and communication with other people because we are social beings. So how now, when we are forbidden to be social, are we supposed to cling to learning, and teaching, a foreign language?"
