Od července do září 2020 bude mít EPALE zacíleno na základní dovednosti. Základní dovednosti jdou napříč různými sférami života. Nejenže se přirozeně pojí se vzděláváním, ale zasahují rovněž do oblasti zaměstnanosti, zdraví a ochrany životního prostředí. Osvojení základních dovednosti je klíčem k tomu, aby společnost dokázala čelit současným sociálním, zdravotním a ekonomickým problémům.

Il nous semble en effet que la question de l’inclusion numérique, avec les pratiques, les outils et techniques mobilisés mettent au jour les intentionnalités pédagogiques et sociales sous jacentes. Cela nous fait penser au cadre d’analyse du droit à l’éducation développé par Liechti et Meyer-Bisch, (2003, Liechti, 2007) avec l’approche des « 4A » : Acceptabilité,  Adaptabilité, dotation Adéquate et  Accessibilité.  Ces « 4A » permettent d’interroger le rapport plus ou moins conscient entre les objectifs et les moyens (Ardouin, 2019).

The purpose of the study was to explore the requirements of schools to increase intergenerational learning, collaboration, and solidarity amongst the Baby Boomers, X and Y generations, based on the views of school principals. EPALE's thematische focus van juli tot september 2020 ligt op het leren van basisvaardigheden. Basisvaardigheden zijn transversaal. Ze zijn niet alleen relevant voor het onderwijsbeleid, maar ook voor werkgelegenheid, gezondheid, sociaal en milieubeleid. Het opbouwen van samenhangende beleidsmaatregelen die mensen met een behoeft in het lerven van basisvaardigheden ondersteunen, is niet alleen nodig om bijscholing tot een succes te maken, maar ook om te helpen bij het opbouwen van veerkrachtiger en inclusievere samenlevingen.
