As Edremit Municipality from Turkey we are looking for partners interested in collaboration on an Erasmus+ KA2 Strategic partnerships project addressed to adult people who are interested in ecofriendly implementations and eager to learn new methods. During the project we aim to create an opportunity to learn the traditional techniques of soap making developed in the history by different civilizations of the Euro - Mediterranean Basin and preserved since now. The project is aimed to raise awareness about a shared intangible heritage represented by the knowledge and skills required to produce this traditional craft.
The different techniques of soap making developed over the centuries by different populations (Turks, Spanish, French, Moroccans and Greeks) are “living practices” in today’s society and we can see them as a part of our shared cultural heritage and a source of cultural diversity ensuring a sense of identity among the communities.
The framework of this project proposal is structured in order to provide training/learning/education (lifetime learning) to amateurs who are interested in ecofriendly and traditional ways to sustenance enhancing a unique occasion of cultural exchange and preservation of a millenary knowledge. The employment where they live especially in rural areas.
Traditional soap making is a way to use unusable oils, especially, in our case, waste olive oil which has a higher ratio of acid not suitable for nourishment. For this reason soap making is a great solution for recycling and creating new products starting from an organic source. The predicted activities are like:
- Organising applied trainings for making soap in traditional and different regional ways
- Establishing an online platform for sharing contents/ webinars for traditional soap making techniques
- Multilateral meetings according to location of project partners
- Creating video library
Under KA204 we are looking for a partner from Morocco, France (Esp. Marseille), Greece (Esp. Corfu) and Spain (Esp. Castile Region) (with experiences in adult education ) to elaborate and implement together a Strategic partnership project.
