Oksana Soročina: Nowadays, one profession is not enough
Short bio
My name is Oksana, and I am the EPALE Project Manager. I started working as a lawyer and HR manager; my destiny was linked to VET and adult education. My path from law to adult education was a long path full of personal transformations.
My story
Each education and training I received built my personal learning path. However, I have built this path knowing that I need to develop my skills in parallel with the changes taking place in the community. Many skills are self-learned so that you can feel confident about tomorrow! Adults need to develop skills in learning. Only by developing our skills to learn will we be able to provide ourselves and our families with a job tomorrow. Today, one profession is not enough; adults need to be able to learn new skills to upgrade their profession or to build new skills that could be a future profession that does not yet exist.
The mission of adult education is to build a better future for everyone! The adult's responsibility is to act now, find their own path in adult learning, and develop their individual skill to learn.
