Stress has become an inherent part of modern life. Lack of energy, exhaustion, absence of happiness, low motivation and productivity are common phenomena nowadays across all life fields: work, school, university or home. Fortunately, there are many tools and techniques to respond and reduce one’s level of stress, increase the energy inflow and recharge the batteries.

At course we will explore the nature of stress as well as stress management techniques e.g. time management, art of saying “no”, mindfulness, creativity and physical activities. As a result, you will better know yourself, feel and manage your emotions, reduce stress impact and increase your level of happiness in every moment of your life. It also includes a handcrafting workshop – we will create your own bracelet.

Detailed program of the 1 week training period:

The classes are scheduled from Monday to Friday from 9 AM till 3 PM. That means, that you’ll still have a lot of time to discover Tenerife after our intensive training.
The course is held in English.

Day 1:

  • Welcome by the management
  • Introduction and course overview
  • Individual expectations and goals
  • Breakfast in the FU café
  • What is stress? Definition and types
  • Overview of stress management techniques
  • Outdoor activity: meditation and active breathing in the park Taoro Jardin.

Day 2:

  • Reaction to stress and stress models: transactional, fight-or-flight response, General Adaptation Syndrome
  • Physical, emotional and behavioral symptoms of stress
  • Stress causes and triggers
  • Assessing your personal stress triggers: stress diary and stress scale
  • Lunch in a café
  • Outdoor activity: Mindful walking with photographing in interesting places of Puerto de la Cruz. We finish our activity on one of the best beaches – Playa Jardin.

Day 3:

  • Relation between thinking and stress
  • Stress effects on working, teaching and learning ability
  • Stress management approaches
  • Time management
  • Conflict resolution
  • Outdoor activity: healthy picnic and discussion on healthy nutrition.

Day 4:

  • Saying “yes” and “no”
  • Mindfulness
  • Positive thinking
  • ABC technique
  • Affirmations and imagery
  • Lunch in a café
  • Creativity workshop: handcrafting bracelets

Day 5:

  • Outdoor activity: active start in the day on the ocean shore. We will do simple but effective physical exercises for our body and soul
  • Brunch in a café
  • Analyzing own successful stress-respond strategies
  • Evaluation of the course
  • Diploma awarding
