From May 9th to May 13th, 2016, the UNIBILITY partners (ERASMUS+ 2015 project, co-financed by European Commission) delivered the joint Staff Training for staff members from marketing, organisational development, management or social projects of the participating universities. In total 33 people registered for the training, from Austria, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, Romania and Slovenia. The training week was hosted by the University of Vienna, Postgraduate Center, Austria.

V Sloveniji smo se vključili v proces uresničevanja Evropskega programa za učenje odraslih (EPUO) konec leta 2012. Sprva smo razvijali promocijsko kampanjo, ki smo jo poimenovali Parada učenja – Dnevi učečih se skupnosti (2013–2015), in z njo navduševali v 21 krajih po Sloveniji. Zdaj je ta pristop sestavni del nacionalnega projekta Teden vseživljenjskega učenja (TVU).

Akreditácia vzdelávacích programov sa vykonáva podľa zákona č. 568/2009 z 1. decembra 2009 o celoživotnom vzdelávaní a o zmene a doplnení niektorých zákonov (ďalej ho budeme označovať ako zákon). Tento zákon bol novelizovaný zákonom 315/2012 (účinnosť od 1.11.2012,  resp. 1.1.2013), zákonom 292/2014 (účinnosť od 1.11.2014) a zákon 188/2015 (účinnosť od 1.9.2015). Pred zákonom 568/2009 bol platný zákon č. 386/1997 Z. z. o ďalšom vzdelávaní.

The Directorate for Lifelong Learning and Early School Leavers organised Lifelong Learning Cafe sessions for adult educators and trainers. The event focused on adult learning themes tackled in recent months on the Electronic Platform for Adult Learning in Europe (EPALE).  Participants were encouraged to engage in collaborative dialogues in a cafe set-up following the World Cafe format. The event was held on Thursday, 5 May between 3pm and 5pm, at the Lifelong Learning Centre, Msida, Malta.

Suaugusiųjų mokymo principai akcentuoja suaugusio mokinio savarankišką ir atsakingą mokymosi turinio pasirinkimą bei poreikį pritaikyti jau turimas žinias, į turimą patyrimą integruojant naują informaciją bei įgūdžius. Tačiau būti suaugusiu mokiniu šiuolaikiniame informacijos pasaulyje yra iššūkis, nes tarp informacijos gausos sudėtinga atrasti patikimas žinias, nes informacijos sraute reikia atpažinti šaltinius, kurie yra verti dėmesio, ir informaciją, kuri bus praktiškai naudinga.
