Analysis shows that division of adult education actors into three abovementioned categories is too limited. Adult education professionals and adult education has relations with much bigger number of agents (stakeholders) including representatives from culture, social, education spheres and business world and others.

Seven plain language booklets about the science behind common chronic illnesses were made available in print and online through The Healthy People Library Project. These booklets focus on the science behind the diseases, their causes, possible cures, treatments, promising research, and other pertinent issues. Topics include: asthma and allergies, diabetes, obesity, having healthy babies, high blood pressure, and your health. These resources may be useful for communicating with youth and adult patients on a variety of health issues.

Reading has been central to the work of NRDC over the last ten years. In our research and development work we have been able to talk to adults about their practices and attitudes to reading, we have explored the difficulties faced by adults in learning to read and we have looked at effective teaching and learning of reading in the classroom, identifying promising practice.

The resulting poem Re: vision was printed in NRDC's magazine reflect and was read by Roi at the National Skills for Life conference in London.

This project examined government-supported apprenticeship in England, focussing on the experiences and perspectives of apprentices aged 25 and over and their employers. It also considered training, upskilling and reskilling of adult workers more generally.

The study consisted of a literature review and statistical mapping of government-supported apprenticeship in England, and case study research in five organisations.
