Soft skills are more and more requested by the labour market to its future employees in addition to technical competences. In order to develop and promote the transition from higher education to labour market, there is a framework of policies and laws to relate to.
Concerning the actions that Italy is implementing to respond to the challenge of transition, Italian universities are answering by supporting young adults’ preparing for future career through educational actions such as job placement and career service.
In this essay it will be investigated what kind of educational actions have been implemented by Italian universities, in particular by the University of Florence, and what kind of soft skills have been developed among students to increase their employability.
In particular there is a focus on the challenge of entrepreneurship education and educational actions that University of Florence proposes to develop entrepreneurship in the order to increase self-employment.
