A reminder that the EPALE theme for August is about how sport can add value to adult education by providing an opportunity for kinaesthetic learning, improving memory and concentration, and fostering a sense of inclusion. It aims to highlight that physical activities can be used as a teaching method, but also has health and community benefits.
If you know anyone who would be willing to contribute to EPALE by publishing a relevant research paper, news article or blog on this theme, please get in contact.
This months theme about Prison Education has been a success with a number of interesting items published from across the UK. I've put some examples below if you would like to have a look:
- Using music as a tool for development, education and rehabilitation
- Students with Conviction
- Cardiff City FC Community Foundation Prison Engagement Programmes
- Developing Prison Ready Teachers
I'll keep you up to date with any other news, discussions, etc.
I hope to hear from you.
