FabCube is a network of FabLab which provides training in a lot of different subjects to people of a wide age range: from kids to senior people. We would like to be partners in projects connected with new training methodologies, support to unemployed and disabled people, students, entrepreneurs and employed people.
FabCube was created by a network of Fablab to develop a project of innovation spread throughout the territory. 6 laboratories for innovation belong to the FabCube network in the Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia regions, in which not only the activities aimed at training on rapid prototyping technologies and their use, typical of FabLabs, but also some related activities are carried out:
- training in managerial, linguistic, technical fields for companies and individuals;
- support for the birth and development of startups, especially characterized by the presence of innovative products or services;
- management of innovation projects within SMEs or large companies;
- management of training projects financed by the European Social Fund;
Regarding the aspects related to the training of young people in the technical and scientific fields, the FabCube laboratories carry out various types of training activities, starting from the children (around 6 years old) and students of primary, middle and high school. Fabcube also provides unemployed young people with support in the acquisition of skills useful in the labor market, focusing not only on tech subjects, but on also providing courses about business administration, soft skills, foreing languages, handcraft, ecc.
Moreover, Fabcube offers also a continuous training for employed people, as well, giving them valid tools to support innovation processes within companies and public bodies, to improve the skills in business management and marketing, to become familiar with the new technologies, e.g. 3D modelling and printing, artificial vision, and big data.
Fabcube is experimenting with new approaches to training, which include a wide use of experimental modality and new technologies, in particular, virtual reality.
