What are the opportunities for young people nowadays? Should they work? Or should they study? How about turning their hobby into a successful business?

What if we told you that there is a special platform where you can evaluate your own knowledge and skills in the field of lifestyle entrepreneurship and see what you need in order to develop your own ideas? What is more, in this platform you can find materials for self-learning that will teach you how to develop your personal business. The platform developed in English language so it can be used by people from all over the world. Even if you don’t speak English very well, don’t worry, you can find all of the materials in the platform in Bulgarian, Greek, Lithuanian and Polish language. Still don’t believe? Check for yourself: https://self-e.lpf.lt/

If you are a person willing to develop their personal and work skills, SELF-E project is just for you!

The main aim of the project is to promote quality youth work in order to foster self-employment of young people with fewer opportunities. The project also aims to help youth workers to organise innovative non-formal learning on youth lifestyle self-employment. We would also like to support youth workers in applying new methods for motivating young people with fewer opportunities to learn and become self-employed.

All of these aims will foster the transition of young people from youth to adulthood through integration in the labour market by lifestyle self-employment. The young people that will benefit from the project will also develop competences connected with sense of initiative and entrepreneurship which are very important for today’s labour market.

If you are a youth worker and want to increase the quality of your trainings, we can help you! We developed Toolkit for youth workers „Social mentoring as innovative training pathway to lifestyle self-employment – SELF-E”. It will show youth workers an innovative reversed training methodology which they can apply while working with young people in order to motivate them to develop their own business. Moreover, the SELF-E training course is based on mentoring methodology.

You are a young person willing to become a lifestyle entrepreneur but you don’t know what you need? Here it is! We present you the Set of practical exercises-OERs Pathway to lifestyle self- employment“. This is a set of practical excercises for self-learning and reflection which can be used by anyone willing to become a lifestyle entrepreneur. The set of developed practical exercises allows using innovative reversed training methodology in delivering the non-formal SELF-E training course, which combines self-learning, when mentor appoints tasks for learners‘ self-study of OERs on self-employment, and face-to-face mentoring sessions for further discussion on the material learnt.

Ever wondered how to evaluate your non-formal competences? Worry no more! The Assessment tool for validation of competence “Sense of initiative and entrepreneurship” which was developed in the project will help you. The aim of the tool is to validate skills and competences obtained via non-formal activities. The assessment of competence is based on online testing methodology with number of programmed closed questions which you can do by yourself.

These project products were tested in the partner countries from the project: Bulgaria, Cyprus, Lithuania and Poland with youth workers. All of the youth workers tested the project and stated they were very happy with the innovative educational methodology, materials for self-learning and tools for validation.

Why don’t you try it? We guarantee you will like it and it will help you in achieving your dream.
