News from around Europe

January has been a month of new beginnings in the adult learning sector across Europe:
- The German Ministry of Education and Research has announced a new phone line where people can get information about continuing education opportunities (DE).
- Meanwhile, Estonia is working on digitising its secondary education learning material in order to make it more accessible for children and adults outside Estonia, as well as for those who cannot attend formal classes (EN, ET).
- The Norwegian Agency for Lifelong Learning is starting 2017 with a brand new name – Skills Norway (Kompetanse Norge) – as it believes the new name better reflects the agency’s vision (EN).
