Three years ago, UNISON Cymru Wales looked ahead to the trends and challenges that would be affecting their members and potential members in the years ahead related to digital technology. Their response was to create a new Wales Union Learning Fund project, DigiSkills Cymru, funded by the Welsh Government and hosted by WEA YMCA CC Cymru.

Evenimentul se adresează educatorilor care doresc să își prezinte experiența acumulată în domeniu, în special în problema părăsirii timpurii a școlii. În cadrul celor doua zile, organizatorii propun o agendă orientată spre a centraliza soluțiile la problemele cu care se confruntă sistemul de învățământ, dând în egală măsură ocazia dezbaterii lor.

V okviru projekta ELINET (European Literacy Policy Network) je nastala animacija, ki vam bo v minuti in pol pokazala, da tudi vsakdanje stvari, kot sta glasno branje in razumevanje zdravilom priloženih navodil, marsikomu povzročajo težave. Med okoli 55 milijoni ljudi v Evropi, starimi med 16 in 65 let, ki ne znajo dobro brati in pisati, jih je veliko tudi v Sloveniji. Morda celo v vaši bližnji okolici živi kdo, ki ima težave z branjem in razumevanjem besedil.

Schwätzt Dir Lëtzebuergesch? (Do you speak Luxembourgish?) is the title of a new Luxembourgish textbook elaborated by the National Institute for Languages (INL) together with several Swiss experts. It targets adults who do not speak Luxembourgish yet, but who are taking Luxembourgish classes to learn the language.

The book’s topics speak to a large audience and prepare the learners for everyday situations in Luxembourg. The different chapters provide insights into the country, national holidays, traditional Luxembourgish food and produces, famous people, etc.

Foro Tecnico de Formacion, the Spanish partner of the Capwin European project (Leonardo da Vinci-Tranfer of Innovation) invites all adult learning professionals to their final workshop where the outcomes and outputs of two-year project (2013-2015) will be presented. This workshop is specially aimed at students who have dropped out of education and any professionals working with them.

The expected impact of CAPWIN is the development of professional adult practitioners’ skills to use succesful methods to prevent students dropping from education. The aims of the project were:

Deze activiteit ging over de mogelijke inzet van digitale media in de basiseducatie voor volwassenen. De Taalmeter is een online ‘tool’ die een indicatie geeft of iemand voldoende kan lezen.

Ce dossier de la Ligue de l'Enseignement fait parler les experts et les acteurs du milieu carcéral sur les conditions de détention en France. L'on en apprend par exemple que l'enseignement à distance n'est pas une solution miracle à cause de nombreux obstacles financiers ou encore que la formation professionnelle n'est pas toujours conciliable avec l'emploi du temps strict qui régit les prisons. The conference will focus on the employment of refugees and other beneficiaries of international protection. Having a job will ease social integration, diminish reliance on social benefits and increase the possibility to find decent housing. So instead of waiting for accreditation, legitimisation, and recognition by the authorities, they can take immediate action by self-organisation, a sort of autogestión, and taking these as a collective issue to address’.[1]

The Panevezys District Probation Service implemented the Grundtvig Learning Partnership project ,,Psychodrama and creative education in prison“ and published the assessment report in both English and Lithuanian languages. The staff and volunteers of the Panevezys District Probation Service raised awareness in the therapeutic field of psychodrama. The method of psychodrama has been used with ex-prisoners in the Panevezys District Probation Service for the first time in Lithuania.
