Voice of the learner 2.0
AONTAS (Ireland), ABC Foundation (Netherlands) and CINOP (Netherlands) have joined forces in an Erasmus+ project called: ‘Voice of the Learner 2.0’. The project aims to create a model for implementation of the learner’s voice in adult education.
Quality of adult learning hinges on responding to learners' individual learning needs. In essence, quality of adult education is mainly about whether the educational process can be organized in such a way that the diversity of learning needs can be met in a high-quality manner. There are, of course, initiatives and studies that give a place to the learner's perspective, however neither in the Netherlands nor in Ireland is there a national model of implementation or legislation on the matter.
In the project we will perform the following activities:
- Organize two transnational visits to Ireland and the Netherlands, to experience how implementation of the learners voice takes place.
- Development of the ‘voice of the learner model’. In this activity we work on a model to implement the voice of the learner in the field of adult education. The model includes prerequisites for a successful system of the voice of the learner and for sustainability and gives leads for national, regional and local government to organize such a system.

This project is a follow up and elaboration on the earlier Voice of the Learner mobility project. In this project three study visits were organized, to gather inspiration on how to organize the participation of adult learners. One of the main conclusions from the project was to train the adult learners, that have a role in participation, specifically on the roles they are going to fulfill.
