Children’s charity Barnardo’s was funded by the Forces in Mind Trust to carry out research to better understand the needs and experiences of veteran prisoners and their families. The research considered the experiences of the whole family before, during and after a veteran prisoner enters custody.

Date: Monday 10th February 2020Barnardo's logo

Time: 10:00-14:30

Ticket price: Free

Location: The Studio (Caxton House entrance), Fore Street, Birmingham, B2 5EP

The final report provides their experiences and puts forward recommendations concerning improvement and development of services offered to this group. The launch will explore the findings of the research, provide talks by keynote speakers and allow delegates to participate in a roundtable discussion. The roundtable discussion will encourage delegates to consider how to use the report to make positive changes in their own organisations, as well as provide the opportunity to build networks.

A two-course lunch will be provided and delegates can also enjoy refreshments that will be available throughout the day.
